![]() ![]() This design was made as an improvement over the previous (also never-built) Neptune-class. Historical backgroundīrisbane, just like Minotaur, is based on the never-built Minotaur-class, also called Design ZA from 1947. Will the ship be worth the grind? Is she interesting enough compared to Minotaur? Here is my opinion. Later in the future, the ship will be available for coal. The ship will be the reward of an upcoming web campaign alongside a unique-voiced commander called Matilda Kelly (previously called Anne Bonny). Today, we are taking a look at the Brisbane, the new tier X Commonwealth cruiser. I feel sorry for you for not realizing it.Ladies and Gentlemen here is our first final review of the year. This change is the equivalent of ripping the heart out of the game. Almost no one is going to play a ship to gain 900k more captains xp when they were already maxed. If you think 900k captains xp to get a two point skill is worth it, good for you. Every game I play is to maximize elite or free xp. premium time and camo's and flags is the goal. I’m comfortable in my determination that you’ve wrongly assessed who is nuts in the matter.Īs for money spent, I go hard with xmas crates as these provide infinite value compared to anything else they sell. If you haven't caved in to money grabs, you've already ground some 144 million in commander XP already. With you having about 60% more battles than me, but 4X as many 19-point captains, I can’t help but think you’ve caved in to plenty of money grabs already. I neither think nor know nor care what you, personally, do or do not do. It takes nearly 800,000 to get the final three points alone.Ģ. 900,009 elite commander XP IS slightly less than half of what it took to achieve each 19-point commander from the ground up. If you think I am going grind 72million captains xp to make my ships have two more meaningless points? You are nuts.ġ. One of the remaining reasons I log on is that whatever ship I play I bank elite xp for another ship to have a maxed captain. 80x 900,000 = 72,000,000.more élite or captains xp to get my ships back to where they were. Take me for example, 80 19point captains. An additional 900k elite xp is close to what it took to what it took to make a max captain in the first place. The more 19-point captains you have now, the bigger the backfill chasm you’ll have to fill up to get them back to Elite at 21 points again. If that is your situation, focus on as few captains, and as few captain moves as you can, and ride one captain as far up in points as you can. If you have a narrow/new fleet, these guidelines might be restrictive for you. Minimize moving of commanders among Tech Tree ships, which puts more commanders into retraining, and will result in increased temptation to divert commander XP from the pile. ![]() Don’t retrain a captain by grinding, unless it is a 19-point captain that will be frequently played in the period leading up to the day these changes hit.Ĥ. Five minutes in co-op to get five draconic flags will be a net gain in the XP chase.ģ. (Exception to #2) If you still have Anniversary flakes that will yield Draconic flags, knock out those wins in Co-op quickly, then get back to adhering to #2. Grinding sub-19-pointers diminishes the pool of Elite Commander XP you would have in-hand when this change hits, and would leave you more captains that will lose Elite status when the update hits.Ģa. Run them through premium ships, and get all of the First Win bonus XP that you can.Ģ. Focus heavily (perhaps even solely) on playing your current 19-point commanders. ![]() ![]() So, what to do? Well, if you have the fleet and commander flexibility, doing the below will maximize the Elite Commander XP you can have on-hand at Day 1:ġ. The goal is to get as much of a pile built up when the change hits, in order to get one or more captains to 21 points on Day One, so you can have an Elite Commander XP engine, again. And that’s a bit of a haul if you don’t have the Elite XP pile to get at least one or some of them back to the top. (I estimate this will be between 750,000 and 900,000 commander XP.) So, unless there are changes, each of your Elite Commanders will be 750,000-900,000 away from being Elite again. This implies that it will be up to the player to come up with the commander XP to bridge the gap between 19 and 21 points. In considering the effects of the proposed/upcoming of the raising of the commander point ceiling as part of the commander skill rework, I started putting together a plan of how to best be prepared for it, and I thought I would pass along my plans for it:įirst, it must be noted WG has said this will be an opportunity for those who have “piles and piles” of Elite Commander XP to spend it. ![]()
